Jubilee Planters

Update:
There are now 8 planters that have been installed around Sandymoor, the locations of which are shown on the map. They are looking lovely thanks to all the hard work from our planter volunteers. If you have a little spare time and are keen to get involved in helping maintain, water or replant them then please email Arthur and he will put you in touch with the volunteer group. Any and all extra hands are welcome!

We are currently working on a project to brighten up the area by installing a number of jubilee planters of flowers around Sandymoor, in partnership with some of the local businesses. Two planters were installed and filled, just in time for the Jubilee weekend celebrations. One of these planters is just beside the roundabout at the junction between Wharford Lane and Newmoore Lane. It was purchased and sponsored by Halton Housing Association and was planted up by volunteers from our planters' group. The other is outside Sandymoor Ormiston Academy and was bought jointly by the school and the parish council. Sandymoor students planted and will maintain that one as an ongoing school project. Three more have been placed around the local centre and Sandymoor Community Hall and we are in discussions with the landowners for another couple of locations around the Sandymoor area.
