Thank you to all those that entered their gardens in the first ever Sandymoor in Bloom 'Best Kept Garden' competition.
The entries were all judged by a combination of some of the parish councillors as well as some of our wonderful Sandymoor in Bloom volunteers that keep our planters looking stunning all year round.
There were two categories:
Street-facing Beauty, for front gardens, which was judged on colour themes & neatness, overall planting abundance and wildlife friendliness. The winning front garden was on Oakmoore, with the runners up on Godstow with the 3rd placed front garden on Furness Court.
Hidden Gem, for rear gardens, was judged on overall design, creative use of space, colour themes and wildlife friendliness. The winning rear garden was on Selby Close with the runner up garden on Wharford Lane.
Well done to the winners and a huge thank you to all those that entered the competition. We'd love to make this an annual event so keep an eye out for the entry dates next year!
