The parish council have had an update on a couple of initiatives carried out by Cheshire Police in our local area.
Firstly there was an officer with a stationary speed camera on Runcorn Road in Moore, near the Moore Lane junction. Motorists were stopped and warned, with some told to expect further contact due to excessive speed being observed. This operation will be repeated in the future.
Secondly, a plain clothed officer attended an incident on the sunflower path where multiple youths were reported as being a nuisance but throwing food and generally misbehaving. Their names were taken and passed onto the Anti-Social Behaviour team at Halton. Any repeating offenders could receive ASB contracts to comply with.
