Planning Consultation by Warrington Borough Council
The Parish Council have received the following letter from Warrington Borough Council, which may be of interest to some residents:
Dear Sir/Madam
Consultation on the Draft Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) Supplementary Planning Document (SPD)
The Council is consulting on a Draft HMO SPD in accordance with the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 (as amended).
The SPD provides detailed guidance and advice on policies contained in the Council’s adopted Local Plan. It sets out detailed criteria to assess concentrations or clustering of HMOs as well as more detailed guidance on issues such as design, minimum room sizes, waste storage and car and cycle parking provision, to be considered through the planning application process.
The consultation period runs from Wednesday 25th March until 5pm on Friday 24th April 2026. The draft SPD and details on how to respond to the consultation can be viewed on the Council’s web site:
