Daresbury Expressway Overnight Closures

You may have noticed that the previously reported planned closures ended up being cancelled.

We have now been notified of a new programme of night works and subsequent overnight closures. There are 11 night time closures planned to carry out the resurfacing/re-lining and commissioning of the new traffic signal junction.

These are as follows:

• Two nights – 22nd & 23rd of May – to remove the temporary barriers from the expressway.
• Seven nights – from 27th May till 4th June – to resurface the expressway and the access road.
• Two nights – between 5th & 9th June – to reinstate the permanent road markings on the expressway.

The hours of work for these closures will be 21:00 – 6:00, as was previously planned and has been scheduled the works over night to minimise the disruption to daily traffic.

The diversion route will be clearly marked and we advise all motorists to allow for extra travel during this time.
