Anti-Social Behaviour & Police Reporting

As has been mentioned recently during our Parish Council
meetings, the number of PCSO’s is being greatly reduced and this obviously
presents challenges to the force. While we have been reassured that Cheshire Police will seek to maintain a visible presence on Sandymoor, it must be reiterated
that any incidents in the area must be reported to the police by either calling
101 in a non-emergency situation (always use 999 in an emergency) or via their Residents Voice survey. This means that all incidents are recorded properly and
will show up in their statistics correctly when assigning appropriate resources
to each area. Simply putting these things on social media will not get the same
results and will not be seen by the relevant authorities. With the
reduction in PSCO’s and some unpleasant incidents of anti-social behaviour occurring
recently, this is becoming more important for the data to reflect the situation
so appropriate levels of police presence can be allocated.

Neighbourhood Watch Scheme

Whilst we cannot do this on your behalf due to the size of
the areas that it would cover, the parish council are also happy to help
support if anyone would like to set up a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme for their street or
small area within Sandymoor. Please contact Arthur, our clerk for more
information.
