Held on the third Monday of the month, between 11am & 1pm, at Moore Scout HQ, Moss Lane Moore.
Looking for somewhere to meet new people? Why not come along to the Hard Back Cafe. Take some books to read and jigsaws to puzzle over. There's a delicious lunch available, soup and sandwiches, made by the ladies of the WI and the usual raffle.
Bring along any fiction paperback books you've finished with to pass onto others but most importantly, just come along and enjoy the company of friends and neighbours.
Are you interested in local history? Come along an listen to our talks. The next one is entitled ' A House Through Time – Moore Hall ' and is being held at the Milner Institute in Mooreon Wednesday 22nd March. We open at 7pm for tea and a chat with the talk starting at 7:30pm.
Sue has been researching the history of the manor of Moore from the 12th century. We're all familiar with the current building, but what went before and who lived there? It's a long story, so we're just going up to the year 1950 – more later in the year.
Come and join us.
